How much does the OET cost if I am outside of
Australia?
A full sit of the 4 sub tests is approximately $775 AUD / £475,
please refer to the OET website for a list of up to date fee
amounts.
What is the OET pass requirement for the Nursing and
Midwifery Board of Australia?
This is completion and an overall pass in the OET with grades A
or B only in each of the four components (listening, reading,
writing, and speaking). Results must be obtained in one sitting of
assessment and test results will generally need to be obtained
within two years prior to applying for registration.
How do I order an additional statement of
results?
If you are applying for an upcoming administration of the OET,
you can now order and pay for additional Statements of Results as
you submit your application. An additional Statement of Results
costs approximately $50 AUD / £30. Again please refer to the OET
website for an up to date fee amount.
When do I find out about the test date
confirmation?
The precise venue details and your timetable will be sent to you
by email approximately two weeks before the test date.
How do I prepare for the OET?
You can download a set of practice
materials from the OET website to help you study. Additional
practice materials can be ordered from the OET Bookshop. They
have a list of training
providers. The OET Centre does not endorse any
particular training program. There is also information about
preparing for each sub-test on the test Information
page.
How long does the test take?
You must allow the full day for your Test.
When will I get my results?
The results from your OET will be published on the website for
you to access by logging on to your online profile around 19 days
after the test. Official Statements of Results will be posted as
soon as possible after this.
